Intensive care support

The ongoing care of your child with a nursing and/or educational care requirement is often intensive for parents and/or carers, but also rewarding to be able to do it yourself. Yet parents and/or carers also have their limits. Combining intensive care and dividing attention within the family, work and household can sometimes be tough.

KinderZorg Bijzonder can and would like to be a godsend then. We are there for the family, giving parents and/or caregivers room to catch their breath for a while. They can temporarily focus on other things. For many parents, this is necessary every now and then to be able to cope with the intensive care again. We provide care together, in a way that suits you.

We provide care for children aged 0 to 18 years with nursing and/or educational care needs.

What does KinderZorg Bijzonder do?

At KinderZorg Bijzonder, everything revolves around children's well-being and fun. In a safe, familiar and structured environment, we undertake fun activities together and ensure they have an enjoyable day. At the same time, we provide expert care in both nursing and pedagogical areas.

We value open communication with parents and/or carers. By staying in regular conversation, we get a good picture of what is important for your child. In this way, we can optimally support not only the child but also the family where needed.

Methodologies

Triangulation

Collaboration with parents and/or carers is vital for optimal care. We strive for the right balance between child, parents and professional. To this end, our staff are trained in Triangulation.

Triangulation describes what happens and should happen in the triangular relationship client-parent-professional. We work to build a solid foundation in the triangle with the principles of vision, communication, trust and safety. Cooperation is discussed and evaluated during intake and evaluation interviews.

Parent-child education programme (OKE)

The Parent-Child Education Programme (OKE) aims to support parents and/or caregivers in learning various nursing procedures. This way, someone other than the care professional can carry out the care. The programme starts with an e-learning, the care moments are supervised by the care professional and it concludes with a certificate.

Medical Child Care Collaboration (MKS)

Medical Child Care Collaboration (MKS) is a working method for indicating, organising and implementing nursing care for sick children outside the hospital. It concerns children with a nursing care need who are the responsibility of a paediatrician or medical specialist. MKS is based on the premise that there is optimal care for every child and healthcare professionals take into account the rights of the sick child and their family.

Systemic work

KinderZorg Bijzonder works closely with various disciplines. These may be disciplines brought in from your child's network or from KinderZorg Bijzonder. Examples include a doctor, psychologist, family support worker or therapist. It is important that cooperation between these disciplines and KinderZorg Bijzonder is central. KinderZorg Bijzonder aligns with the goals of the external disciplines to stimulate your child's development as much as possible.
