For whom

No. KinderZorg Bijzonder offers care under the Healthcare Insurance Act (Zvw), the Youth Act (Jw) or the Long-Term Care Act (Wlz), as well as a combination of Zvw and Jw. This means that children with both nursing and educational care needs can come to us.

Children may apply up to the age of 18. We will then look at what the care needs are (long-term or short-term) and depending on that, we will see what the options are.

If the care request is of a long-term nature, we have a transparent discussion with parents and/or carers regarding the sustainability of our care in relation to the client. We then look at other care providers if required.

Yes, your child is eligible for various care services with us. Take contact with us to discuss the possibilities.

Funding

Your child's care falls under the Zvw if the care is related to a need for medical care or a high risk of it.

Your child's care falls under the Jw if your child needs support to participate in society and/or is less self-reliant than peers.

The care for your child is covered by the Wlz if it is clear that your child needs lifelong intensive care due to physical, sensory or mental disability(s). You can apply for a Wlz indication via Centrum Indicatiestelling Zorg (CIZ). Afterwards, our Wlz consultant will help you apply for care from KinderZorg Bijzonder with the care administration office.

For care that falls within the Zvw, our indicative paediatric nurses are at your service. They can draw up an indication.

As a parent and/or carer, you can contact your municipality for Jw care. The consultant at the municipality, in cooperation with our Jw consultant, will help you apply for a decision.

For care covered by the Wlz, our Wlz consultant is at your service. We can use a calculation module to coordinate care with parents and/or carers and any other parties involved.

Healthcare

Yes, you may purchase multiple services from KinderZorg Bijzonder. For example, consider a combination of accommodation and home care.

This is situation-dependent. We understand that sometimes it is necessary for parent and/or carer and your child to get used to the situation. We consider for each situation what is needed to shape and build up the care in a pleasant way. Once the registration and therefore the financing have been finalised, there is the option of scheduling a viewing moment for the Nursing Childcare Centre, Day Care and Lodging. Also, if you wish, your child may come to the Logeerhuis for a one-night trial stay the first time instead of two nights.

Yes, we provide nursing care and school-based outpatient counselling.

We ensure that parents have the opportunity to read reports through our open communication system that records your child's online care file. A review meeting is scheduled at least twice a year. If it is necessary to stay in intensive contact with other care specialists, we ensure that Multidisciplinary Consultations are scheduled, with all other care specialists.

General
